Every dollar a Beacon saves. You match. Youth saves $8,000. Community matches $8,000. $16,000 becomes a down payment.

For 6 years, we have successfully taken Beacons from Stage 1-Stage 6. Now we need your help for Stage 7.

Stage 7-Homeownership

Every Beacon who successfully completes the program will have the opportunity to leave Beacon Center with a path toward owning a home. Beacon Center purchases small starter homes. After a certain number of years, Beacon Center transfers ownership to the youth.

Commit to helping once or twice a year by:

  • Hosting a Welcome Home Kit packing party

  • Decorating bedrooms before a youth moves in

  • Hosting a baby shower for a Beacon teen mom

  • Organizing a holiday meal or birthday celebration

  • Collecting wish-list items from friends or their neighborhood

  • Sponsoring a college-bound youth with dorm essentials

  • Hosting an annual Mahjong, bunco, bridge, or luncheon fundraiser

Ways to Give

1. Real Estate Donations
Donated properties can serve as housing for those in need, providing:

  • Emergency or transitional housing.

  • Spaces for community service initiatives.

  • Potential tax benefits for donors.

2. Major Appliance Donations
Donations of appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washers, and dryers help furnish homes for families transitioning out of hardship, thereby:

  • Equipping homes with necessary amenities.

  • Reducing financial strain on individuals starting anew.

  • Promoting sustainable living environments.

3. Monetary Contributions
Financial donations directly support our housing programs, essential services, and community initiatives. Contributions can be made as:

  • One-time or recurring donations.

  • Corporate sponsorships and matching gifts.
